Has anyone besides me read these? Amazon was giving away Hunger Games for Kindle back in the winter, so I read it and immediately bought Catching Fire after I was done. I had Mockingjay delivered electronically the night it was released (last week) and read that. The series is for teens. The books are quite violent, but I found them engaging. Of course, I enjoy post-apocalyptic/dystopian literature in general, so maybe that's why I liked them.

Someone recommended these to me just this week so I have them on my list but haven't read them yet. Glad to see your recommendation, too.

I just finished reading the series. I don't mind people seeing the books I read, even though they are marketed for much younger people than I. I also liked the Twilight series! I guess I am a teenager at heart.

I have read them all, but I read Mockingjay first. DH is a bookseller and they got two advance reader copies back in the Spring. AMAZING book, and the series is just outstanding. i can't wait for the movie!

I've read Hunger Games and Catching Fire, my husband actually recommended the books to me! They go way beyond female youths in terms of their appeal. Mockingjay is next on my list. The violence didn't bother me that much. I think the series has outstanding characters.

My 13 year old son has burned through the books as well - I can't think of another series I've enjoyed as much quite honestly.

IF "Hunger Games" comes out in a movie, I'll be there. I am really curious about how they pull it off. I also await the next installment of the Twilight series. I really like Werewolf characters anyway.

I finished The Hunger Games yesterday, started Catching Fire last night and just finished it and downloaded Mockingjay to start. Very engaging, the characters are really fleshed out and intriguing. As is the story line.

I'm not surprised. After I finished Mockingjay, I went back and started reading the whole trilogy again without the gap between books. So much more makes sense now. (I had read Hunger Games in February, I think.)
