I had several that I liked to watch. I loved:

Alf
Growing Pains
The Facts of Life
Family Ties
Silver Spoons

Good, generally clean shows like they don't make any more.
My dad was a big MASH fan and we watched WKRP in Cincinnati and the Carol Burnett Show (although not a sitcom).

Leave It To Beaver
Father Knows Best
Mr. Ed
My Favorite Martian
Bewitched
I Love Lucy (re-reruns, I ain't that old!)

Later on, The Partridge Family & The Brady Bunch.

The first one I thought of was the Cosby Show, but that one started when I was in college, so I guess that wouldn't count as my favorite growing up, though it was definitely my favorite all around. My favorite sit com growing up would have to be Happy Days, because I loved making up my own stories about the Fonz. But when I looked at it years later with adult eyes, I was put off by all the sexual innuendo and wouldn't let my children watch the re-runs.

I loved ALF. They always showed it at about 8 o'clock in the morning so I watched it just before going to school. Was miffed when they stopped showing it. Next sitcoms I remember liking after that were Frasier and Third Rock From The Sun.

The first I thought of was MASH

But then reading the lists I realized how many others I used to watch.

The first would have been Gilligan's Island

Then in the middle was
Happy Days
All in the Family
Cosby
Both Newharts
Cheers

I'm trying to remember the last sitcom I'd stop everything to watch - it's been a while since any sitcom really caught my attention and really struck me as funny. I mean... Seinfeld had a lot of funny moments, but for me was hit and miss. Other recent stuff - not so funny to me (I guess I'm old eh?)

Yeah, I used to watch every episode of Full House and Family Matters as well ;)

I would have included "Everybody Loves Raymond" (since it is probably in the top three sitcoms of all time), but I was already all growed up when it began airing.

Doesn't "Everybody Loves Raymond" mention sex too much to be a family show?
